Amber Jean-Marie is the founder of Rocket Yoga Academy and graduated from It’s Yoga with Larry Schultz in May 2000.

Amber Jean-Marie grew up around yoga, at a very young age she remembered her father doing headstands and naulis. She also had a best friend in the neighborhood who had a mother that practiced yoga and had a guru, her name was Indu-Bala Bhardwaj. Indu was Amber Jean-Marie’s first yoga instructor and introduced her to Larry Schultz in the year 2000.

Indu inspired Amber Jean-Marie to travel to San Francisco and attend a Yoga Teacher Training course with Larry. This was before you could find yoga on every corner. It was in San Francisco that Amber’s flame for the Rocket ignited and it has yet to cease a continuous passion in her, 21 years later. Amber spent 11 years studying with Larry as she taught between San Francisco and her home town Cincinnati. These precious years shaped Amber’s teaching and love of yoga.

She has also studied classical ashtanga with Tim Miller, Lino Miele, and Chuck and Maty Miller. She credits Larry Schultz with being her most influential teacher. She trained with him at It's Yoga San Francisco in Spring 2000, where she earned her 200 RYT and was introduced to the Rocket. Once she met Larry she veered away from the traditional Ashtanga practice and adopted Rocket Yoga sequencing as her main practice and teaching.

Amber Gean is a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals as a senior yoga instructor with over 21 years of experience and over 10,000 hours of teaching and teacher training experience.  

She opened Yoga ah! in 2007 in Cincinnati Ohio. When her guru Larry Schultz left his body in 2011 Amber began writing and assembling a 500 hour Rocket yoga training course so that she may continue Larry's work on the Rocket. 

As of 2016 her 500-Hour Ashtanga and Rocket Yoga training course has been recognized by the Yoga Alliance Professional in the United Kingdom. 

She is a pioneer in the modernization of Ashtanga and Rocket Vinyasa Yoga and honors the lineage of Krishnamacharya.

She has been a part of the Rocket family ever since. She studied very closely with Larry from 2000- till his passing in 2011. 

Currently Amber Jean-Marie is one of the top Rocket instructors in the world and spent more time with Larry studying than any other Rocket instructors that are currently teaching. She has written and helped improve Rocket materials not only for her school Yoga ah but also has offered writing for It’s Yoga International as well as inspired many other Rocket trainings that you see being offered globally. Some of her students have gone on to open It’s Yoga franchises as well as open their own studios under different names. 

She is a teacher of teachers and will help you refine your teaching script as well as give you the tools to be more confident in adjustments and sequencing.

Keena Stricker graduated Yoga ah 200 hour training program in June of 2012. After graduation she began working full time at Yoga ah and helped launch Rocket and Advanced training in the Schultz Rocket system. She brings over a decade of experience of instructing and sharing the Rocket with others. Currently she is a lead assistant to Amber Jean-Marie during our virtual online trainings. Keena enjoys the outdoors, teaching children’s yoga and caring for her son. Keena has helped facilalte dozens of Rocket Trainings at RYA and we love her!

Johanna Eriksson is a Sweden native that choose to switch skies for a surf board and make the move to Costa Rica. She helps facilitate Costa Rica yoga and surf retreats and training’s. Her yoga journey began with a 200 hour teachers training at It’s Yoga Nicarauga in 2015 in the foundations of Ashtanga and the Schultz Rocket system. Since then she has attend over 3 Rocket training’s with Amber Jean-Marie. She is known for her calming energy and her expertise in the kitchen. She blends her knowledge of swedish cuisine, homemade natural foods of Costa Rica and a yoga diet to feed you until your hearts content. She is also Amber Jean-Marie assistant during Rocket trainings and classes.

Libby Shively McAvoy Began her journey into the Rocket Schultz System in 2013 at Yoga ah Studio. Since then she completed 300 hour of training with Amber. Her journey then took her into becoming a Certified Personal Development & Relationship Coach specializing in Emotional Intelligence,300 hr ERYT and Core Yoga Certified.
Libby combines her knowledge of yoga philosophy, self study and personal experience, yoga and coaching education to bring her clients a well rounded approach to discovering their potential. She asks questions that help her clients bring the subconscious thoughts from darkness into the light so that they can finally understand and break self-limiting patterns and achieve the life they desire.
Libby offers coaching, breath-work and meditation classes and workshops, Rocket Yoga Workshops, Stress Management Workshops, Corporate Yoga, and Motivational Speaking.

Elisa “Eli” Ciuffarella Began her journey into the Rocket Schultz System in 2015 following several Rocket workshops in the Netherlands and attending Rocket classes whenever she could find them. Since then she completed in 2021 her training with Amber Jean. Her journey then took her into becoming a Certified Health, Nutrition & Wellness Coach, together with being a 200h E-RYT and owning her Yoga and Coaching business named deCommune.
DeCommune is one of the few schools in the Netherlands having weekly Rocket classes :D! Eli combines her knowledge of breathing techniques, philosophy, anatomy, self study and personal experience, yoga and coaching education to bring her clients a holistic approach enabling their potential. Eli offers Coaching services, Workshops, Masterclasses, Courses, Trainings, Mentoring and Motivational Speaking. My vision as Yoga Teacher is share this beautiful path, awake the inner light in others to illuminate the path of their own journey.
I started to practice Yoga almost 10 years ago back in my hometown in Venezuela, where I soon found this was something I wanted to pursue full time – loving what yoga was to me, and how I could share this with others. Soon after that, I became a full-time Yoga Facilitator and a full time Yoga Practitioner as well . Rocket Yoga grabbed my heart, from where I moved on to Vinyasa Flow Yoga and after my Yoga Teacher Training with Larry Schultz (2010 both Ashtanga and Rocket), my practice locked on to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Rocket Vinyasa Yoga exclusively.

In 2010 is when I took my Yoga Teacher Training under the guidance of Larry Schultz, 200HR YTT, and late in the same year attending a Rocket Teacher training Larry invited me to be his assistant teacher- supporting him during training in Thailand. After returning home to Venezuela for a short while – it was clear my heart was in Thailand – so I returned in 2012 met my soul mate and yoga partner Kunkanit Phrombut, and we have together started It’s Yoga Satellite (www.itsyogasatellite.com) and later on Bright Yoga.

My Rocket Journey in the “Schultz System” started in 2010 learning in Caracas Venezuela, in 2015 I was invited by Ricardo Martin to travel to Thailand and train as a teacher of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga 200 Hrs and in « The Rocket« 100 Hrs. plus additional Rocket training with IYI completing 500 hours! Wow what a journey since then I’ve just been wanting to share these amazing teachings!

I’ve had the opportunity to offer Rocket Intensives through out Europe, France, Prague, Italy and Spain.
Currently living in the basque Country, north of Spain offering classes and workshops in Spain and Europe. Oh yeah, my passion is the water and surfing for its healing properties for the body and mind.
